The University of the Philippines College of Mass Communication is pleased to announce the recipient of the 2012 U.P. Gawad Plaridel in the person of MS. FLORENCE DANON GAYDA, better known as ROSA ROSAL. Ms. Rosal was chosen for her outstanding contributions to the broadcasting industry, particularly in the field of television.

The College of Mass Communication will be opening its doors to prospective graduate students and undergraduate shiftees and transferees this summer, through the various admission exams of the different departments.

The Broadcast Communication Department announces it search for the next BC Department chair. All nominations may be sent through email to gurosaup@gmail.com, or through Ms. Nanet Cinco at the 2/F Main Building, Plaridel Hall, Ylanan road, UP Diliman. The deadline for submission of nominations is on 22 June 2012.

A team of University of the Philippines Diliman students recently placed third in the KT&G Asian Students’ Venture Forum 2012 business idea presentation. The program took place in Seoul, South Korea on March 30.
