Search for next BC Department Chair

The Broadcast Communication Department announces it search for the next BC Department chair. All nominations may be sent through email to, or through Ms. Nanet Cinco at the 2/F Main Building, Plaridel Hall, Ylanan road, UP Diliman. The deadline for submission of nominations is on 22 June 2012.

In line with the search process, the BC Department Search Committee presents its timetable of activities below:

Sem-end activity: Sining del Pilar

The BC 298 Broadcast Ethnography class invites you to an evening of musings, wine and sem-end cheer as they showcase their creations at this special event, Sining del Pilar: Contemplations of Alternative Possibilities.

The films will be screened on 21 October 2011 at the TV studio in the CMC Main Building from 5.00pm to 7.00 pm. Ten films in all will be shown, with themes ranging from Filipino heritage and heirlooms to audience experiences in a noon time show. All the films are final projects in Masters class, BC 298 (Broadcast Ethnography) under Dr. Eulalio R. Guieb III.

DZUP Programs nominated at the 33rd Catholic Mass Media Awards!

Three programs airing on DZUP, the official radio station of the University, are finalists at the 33rd Catholic Mass Media Awards (CMMA) in the radio category.

The nominated programs are Tunog at Tinig (College of Music)for the Best Entertainment Program, That's Entrep-tainment (UP Institute of Small Scale Industries) for Best Business News Feature Program and Ekonomiyang Pantahanan (College of Home Economics) for Best Public Service Program.
